The Mara Dyer Trilogy by Michelle Hodkin

As promised, I'm back with a book review! Instead of doing just one book, I decided to do all three of the books in the Mara Dyer trilogy. Can I just say how much I told people to stop interrupting me because I was reading this series? I can tell you, it was a lot. I started reading this series because everyone was raving on about Retribution coming out on Instagram and Twitter and so I had to see what the fuss was about. Turns out, it was a huge fuss! If I read the series earlier and Evolution left me on a cliff-hanger like that, I would seriously be dying so I don't know how you guys lived through it for those of you who read the books.
For those of you who have yet to read this trilogy, these books are about a girl who realizes something is wrong with her, and she's not the only one. She moves to Florida after an incident in New York, but everything is coming back to her. She meets Noah, who isn't what everyone makes him out to be; Jamie, her best friend who gets bullied all the time; and her ex-boyfriend, who is supposed to be dead. Noah and Mara go through life-or-death situations to uncover the truth while they both try to figure out their feelings for each other.
That was probably the best summary I've ever done and it wasn't even that greatxD but anyway, that was the gist of the first book and some of the second;) I have to say, school really annoyed me because it always got in my way of reading this series. All of these books ended in a huge cliff-hanger (more so the second one)... actually most of the chapters ended in a cliff-hanger so I was up till 12 in the morning reading.
If any of you don't like the suspense (like one of my friendsxD) or bloody scenes, I wouldn't recommend this book. But I think this is my first thriller series and I loved it! Wait... "this is not a thriller... this is a twisted love story" AHH sorry that was a little line from the book. I wouldn't consider it a spoiler (I didn't give anything away!).. But yes, I seriously loved this seriously love this series and if I found it at the book store during my Black Friday shopping, I totally would've gotten them!
I think that this series really tied everything together. At the end of Retribution I was like "Oh my god, it all comes together in a huge circle!!!!!!!!!! Mind blown" haha but yes, I love how authors make everything come together at the very end of a series. It just shows how much time they put into the thought process and just makes the readers want to read more of the book! So Michelle Hodkin, you did a fantastic job<3
SPOILERS:
Please do not continue reading until you have read the series:)
AHHHHHH! Okay can I just say how amazing Noah Shaw is?! And his DAD! LIKE WTF! I totally did not see that coming. When they were wondering who was funding the facility, It didn't even cross my mind that it was him! WHAT! AHH! And haha to be honest, when Mara say her brother in the warehouse filled with files, I thought he was hiding something.. but he wasn't! So... sorryxP I really liked how Michelle did the memories for Mara's grandmother. and OMG! "Mara" wrote the books! I forgot her name really wasn't Mara and Noah isn't really Noah and Jude isn't really Jude. I like how Michelle did that because it like, you don't really know anything. Not the names, or the dates, or the places. Just the story. And in the end, thats all that matters. Just that little detail was really inspirational to me. I don't really know if that was the message behind it, but oh well haha. This wasn't really a spoiler but I didn't want to mention it in the above so.. if any of you want to talk about the book, you know where to reach me;)

Mockingjay Part1 Movie

I'm back! I know I haven't posted anything in a very long time, but I blame it all on school. I actually should be doing homework right now but... eh it can wait. I seriously am so ready for the Thanksgiving break, I want to just read non-stop. Someone commented on here (finally!<3) saying that they want me to post more and I don't think that person knows how much that meant to me<3 It totally woke me up so I am making time today to review the Mockingjay Part1 movie that came out Thursday! I don't think this review will have a spoiler part because Mockingjay is still pretty new out to the world and I don't want to give anything away;)
So there are a lot of reviews out there saying Mockingjay wasn't good because it was more "political" and not about the games anymore, but if you actually read the book, you would see that the last book wasn't about the games either. It was so funny because those reviews and the comments on twitter from the different fandoms were so different from each other. I personally loved the movies because there was just so much emotion with Katniss that you just felt the pain with her. I think my eyes watered like 5 times during the movie I was literally mentally yelling at myself not to let the tears fall. It was good to the book... I think? It's been a while since I read THG trilogy so I forgot some stuff, but from what I remember, it was pretty good;) I feel so bad for Gale though because you can totally see that he's truly in love with her and she's in love with Peeta. In the books, I was always #TeamPeeta but in the movies... seeing Gale's emotions and hurt, I don't know anymore! Thats another thing about the movies, Katniss may have had the most emotion, but it was there with all three of them and the chemistry in the movie was palpable.
The movie overall was phenomenal and I can't really say that I would do anything different. I would highly suggest to everyone to watch it if you've seen there previous movies or read the books. Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutchinson were just so amazing along with all of the other cast. The only thing I can really say that I wished was different was President Coin, and thats not even major. I just felt like I wanted her to be more strict than what she was. I would totally rate this movie a 4.99 out of 5<3

I apologize again for not posting a lot (stupid school). Since Thanksgiving Break is starting tomorrow so I will definitely be starting my book review soon, I promise;) Good night, everyone<3
