Birthday Recommendations!!!

I'm back, everyone! I'm so sorry that I haven't been on my social media as much as I used to be. The spring time is the time for my finals and all of the hardest units I have to learn for the year :/ So annoying, but after that, I'll be freeeeeeeee *starts playing What Time Is It-High School Musical song*. Ahhhh I can't wait for those summer days, filled with reading and writing xD
Speaking of reading, I'm in a terrible reading slump, and I don't know what to do! I mean, the books I'm reading (Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting, and Cupcake Kisses on Wattpad) are so great, trust me! I guess I'm just not motivated to read right now, which totally sicks, I hate reading slumps. It's probably from all the studying I have to do for school, I feel like my brain is taking enough stuff in.
Anyway, my birthday is coming up on Wednesday and I wanted to give you guys something for being awesome and reading my blog! So today, I'm going to share with you my top 5 books I've read so far. They aren't in any particular order, but just what book that comes up in my mind first ;) So here we go!

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
Is it sad that I didn't know that this was going to be turned into a movie until a very nice friend on Goodreads told me? Yes, I think it's very sad because this is one of my all-time favorite books. So thank you, said friend!!! If you read the summary of this book, it doesn't really do it justice. I got this book on my kindle because it was on sale for $1.99 and it was just something to read. I didn't think I'd actually love it as much as I do! But I do, I love it, and in my opinion, there isn't one thing that I hate about this book! I love it so much I had to get the hardcover copy of it xD It's just so sad and happy and amazing and devastating all in one! Some might say it's a book 'girls' normally would read because it's contemporary, but really, I'd suggest this book to anyone who'd listen to me. It honestly changed my life and how I thought of things. You all probably hear 'enjoy life while you can' too many times, but ahhh this just makes me get it. I really can't explain how amazing it is without giving anything away, so you just have to trust me on it, and read it! I can't wait until the sequel to this comes out (After You) and for the movie to come!!! GO GO GO READDD!

Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon

Okay, if you guys follow me on Twitter or Goodreads, you probably expected this one. I am not a huge history nerd and historical fiction books normally bore me to death. But this one? Oh man, this totally changed meeeee. My friend recently asked me 'if there was one place you wanted to go you've never been before, where would it be?' Now, it used to be Rome or Paris, but now? Hell yes, it's Scotland ;) I read this book because on Twitter, everyone was talking about it! Sasha Alsberg talked about it all the time in her videos and Twitter and I just had to see what this huge book was all about. I read what it was all about and decided that it didn't look so boring. I didn't really expect how everything played out. I seriously didn't expect all of the twist and turns and how amazing Diana's writing style is. Like OMG AHHHHHHH!!!! *fangirling* it just hits me how awesome it is! I have to save money to get book four, but when I do, I'm gonna have a huge fangirl session on Twitter, don't you worry ;) I can finally watch the Outlander on Starz now!!!! I cannot wait for the next episode tonight, it's gonna be EPICCCC

The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare
Now, this book nearly killed me so it has every right to be a part of this post. Cassandra Clare's writing for this trilogy is beyond me. It just amazes me how everything comes together so well. If you asked me if I was a Wessa or Jessa shipper, I wouldn't be able to tell you because I'm both. What I really loved about this story is that whoever she's with, she's loyal to them. It just shows you that you can love two people at once and it's both tragic and wonderful at the same time. I think I like The Infernal Devices more than The Mortal Instruments just because I like these characters more. Not saying that I don't love TMI, because I do and City of Heavenly Fire was just phenomenal <3 but ahh I just loved this one! I love how everything is just brought together so... elegantly. It really makes me feel like I'm in their time and I'm with them where ever they are, that's what a book should do to you. Make you feel it, like it's a part of you.

The Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout
Now, it's not a proper recommendation without the famous JLA. I have to say, she is one of my favorite authors of all time. Well, all of these authors are my top favorites xD but you guys know what I mean. One thing I love about Jennifer is that I feel like she really cares about us readers. On Wattpad, she has extras on her books and she's currently writing a book on there that people can read! I love how I can read it while she's writing and it's like I'm helping her with the process of the book when I comment on it (even though I'm probably not xD) . Okay, same thing here. I read this book because so many people were talking about this 'Daemon Black' dude and I was like 'who is this person?' and so I read this book. Again, I wasn't a huge sci-fi reader until I started reading this book. Now, it's my favorite series and genre! Aliens are so hot! Well, Daemon is, at least ;) Gosh, I ship Katy and Daemon soooo hard it's not even funny! They never annoyed me and they work so well together!!! Jennifer's stories are just so amazing <3 I met her during the summer at the Turn The Page Book Signing (for more details, look at the TTP Book Signing Experience in the Blog tab) and she is just so nice and down to earth. She even liked my obsidian necklace and showed me her obsidian ring!!! I swear my voice was so squeaky because I was just so happy, I probably made a huge fool of myself. Anyway, I love this book and all of Jennifer's books! So go read them!

Legend trilogy by Marie Lu
I love this whole series but this last one was especially my favorite out of all three. Probably because of the end... oh man, the end of this just broke me. My mom, who heard me crying from the other side of the house, said it sounded like 'my heart just literally broke in two'... and it's not that far off. GOSHHH IT WAS SO BEAUTIFULLY TRAGIC! YOU MUST READ THIS SERIES NOW! Like seriously. My friend can't get past the second one, Prodigy, and I don't understand why, but I guess this book isn't for everyone. But gosh, I hope she gets through it so she can get to the end of Champion. It makes me want more of Day and June. They're both street-smart, strong, and understand each other even if they are complete opposites. They just fit so well! So when the whole love triangle came, because there is always one, I was so mad! Can't they just see they're perfect for each other? Anyway, the ending was so sad and happy and beautiful! Even my mo cried when she read it.. and she never cries! Like it's so rare. The only time she cried in a book is Champion and Clockwork Princess. I loved it so much. It's worth like ten million stars out of ten.

Well, that's five books! I just realized all of them are sort of red except the Lux series xD I guess Daemon just has to be different xD I hope you guys get to read these if you haven't already! They are seriously top-notch. All of these authors just amaze me on how well they write. I just can't fathom how they do it! Again, these books aren't in any order. They are all considered number one on my list so Champion is just as wonderful as Me Before You to me. Tell me how you like any of them! I love hearing your answers :) Thank you so much for reading this! I hope you guys didn't mind it :) Tell me if I should post more recommendations or if you like me to just stick with reviews!

I have to go now. Next week, I might be doing a no-technology weekend, so if I am, I'll just see you the weekend after! Later everyone! <3

Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins

Hello everyone!!! I am back with a review! :) It won't be as long as I normally do because I have to leave soon for a family dinner, so sorry in advance, guys :/ I feel like it's been forever since I've posted something, but i guess it's only been a week! So weird. Anyway, my friend was nice enough to lend this book to me :) I saw the author at the NOVA Teen Book Festival, but didn't have enough money to buy this one :/ I wish I did though, because it was really great. My said friend is on Wattpad and is currently working on a story (I made the cover ;D ), she doesn't have anything published yet, but if you have an account on Wattpad and want to get updates on it, just follow her here!
Okay, on to this review. When I first started reading this, I was kind of annoyed at the protagonist, Harper. I'm not that kind of girl that needs the perfect shade of lipgloss for homecoming or is super picky about everything. And I don't not like those kinds of people, but I guess I was in a bad mood that day because of all the tests I had in school. Anyway, just reading about how important lipgloss was was kind of annoying.
When the bathroom scene started, I thought this book was really cheesy, but cute at the same time. I totally knew that I liked the right guy ;)
Honestly? It is very cheesy, but written in a way that made it really fun and interesting to read. I didn't think I would like it at first, but I was presently surprised when I found myself trying to find time to read it.
I really liked how the romance was in the background of the story, just because when your life is basically turned around, I don't know about you, but I'd totally forget about liking or no liking a guy. I'd probably break up with my boyfriend (if I had one) right away so he wouldn't get hurt since he's close to me. I mean 'if you love someone, let them go. If they come back, then it's meant to be', right?
Anyway, I really liked everything about this book... except the ending with the girls. I mean, it was good! It was, but I don't think it really connected together. I know there's a second book coming out, but what happens to them? I won't say anything else for those who haven't read this book yet (which I highly recommend that you do), but I didn't like how that happened. I hope something happens in the second book to make it better, though!
I give this book a solid 4 stars! The only thing that bothered me was the ending, but even that wasn't a huge deal! I can't wait for Miss Mayhem!
I hope you guys aren't mad at me for this really short review! I'm going to be busy all weekend and don't know when I'll be less busy! Speaking of busy, this is the last quarter of school, which means... FINALS! Ugh I hate them! They always stress me out. So with finals coming, I will be inactive for a bit on all of my social media accounts. Sorry in advance! I'll still try to write my story on Wattpad as much as I can, though.
Love you all <3 I'll be back when I'm back ;)
Please do not continue reading until you have read the book :)
Okay, with the ending part, I just want you guys to know what I was talking about. I was talking about the time at the end when all of the girls turn into Paladins. I know you guys probably feel differently, but I just feel like it should be just Harper. I mean, so the Ex-boyfriend makes everyone forget about the evening... What happens when theres a girl-fight at school and they end up literally throwing each other across the room? Then other girls will realize that they have powers and they will all go crazy with it and get out of control.
Unless there will be an army of them in book two like what the evil girl said (sorry I totally forgot her name), I don't see a reason she put that in there. And even if there was something bigger that needs more Paladins, I don't think the three of them would want to put more teenagers in danger, even if they needed them. They would find a way.
Then again, I'm not the author and really don't know what they want and not want, so I guess we will see ;)
Tell me what you think in the comments below! :D

   Bye for now, everyone ;)

I Have A Wattpad!!!

   Hello everyone!
Where I live, it's Saturday. It's also April 11th, 18 days until my birthday!!! *Happy dance* I'm so excited! My best friend and I are going to go to this place where they do glamour shots. I have another friend that went and she said she loved it, so I wanted to try it out ;)
Anyway, I got a Wattpad! Back when I went to the NOVA Book Festival, I met Maggie Hall and we chatted for a bit (probably just ten minutes but it was the best ten minutes of my life). She said that I should pick up writing and to keep her updated on when I start writing again.
Well, I started writing again and emailed her! I asked a few questions about advice when writing and stuff (maybe added a little fangirling in there, too). She responded and OMG I FREAKED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF CLASS. SO worth it though xD I knew Maggie was nice and caring when I talked to her before, but it was still amazing to read her response to me and see those things again. She definitely helped me a lot and I am so glad that I emailed her. She has helped me so much, and it's much more fun writing, now.
Okay, back to Wattpad. I just started a story called Dream Catcher. I don't have a summary for it yet. I know what the book is going to be about, but I want to get the whole story down before I write the summary so I know all of the information is correct.
Dream Catcher is basically about Jen, a 17 year old girl, who has a sort of premonition. She doesn't remember her dreams, but when she does, it comes true. Sometimes, it's meaningless stuff like getting a bad grade in math, or spilling coffee on some poor guy's test. But other times, it's big. Like when her mom died in a car accident when she was nine.  Now, her dreams are more frequent and she's trying to understand what is happening to her.
The story is in first person and theres more stuff to it, but I haven't gotten there yet xD If you want to read the prologue to my story, click here. I will also put it in the 'Contact' tab if you guys forget it.
I just posted the prologue this morning and a lot of people (hopefully you're reading this) have already said they loved it! I am so grateful for you guys! It really eased the worry I've had when I was writing it and when I pushed the 'Publish' button I was like "Hm, this isn't so bad!" xD
I'm working on the first chapter right now and it's been easier to write it now that I'm more comfortable :) I'll let you guys know when I have it done! I might make a new tab just for my book updates...
Anyway, I hope you guys like the story so far, if you decide to read it! Every comment, good or bad, is welcome with open arms!
That's all for today! Thank you everyone <3 You guys are awesome.

Fast And Furious 7 Movie (More Like Paul Walker)

Hey everyone! Sorry this is a little late, I got caught up on stuff I needed to do and (surprise surprise!) finishing Voyager (Outlander #3). Well I finished my book (and it was so amazing!) and I got what I needed to do, done. And with all the stuff I was doing, I had See You Again by Wiz Khalifa on repeat </3 That song is just the definition of Paul Walker and the Furious family <3 You guys should totally listen to it! Even if you don't watch the Furious movies, it's so meaningful and sentimental.
Anyway, this won't really be a review of the movie, but what I felt while watching it. So in other words, it will be fairly short. *Starts playing See You Again*
Gawd. I don't even know where to begin. I guess at the beginning. When my mom texted me during Biology class saying that she got tickets to see Fast And Furious 7 on the weekend, I almost squealed and cried on the spot.
The day of the movie, I didn't know if I would be super happy or sad. I was both, I guess. The movies are all fantastic and amazing. But seeing Paul Walker on screen again? Gosh, I don't know how I'd handle that.
I know some of you are probably like, 'Why is she so upset over him? She doesn't even know him.' And you're right. I don't know Paul Walker. I haven't talk to him or seen him in person, but he's one hell of an actor. Fast And Furious is all about family... or the last two are. And just talking about that through both of those movies, just makes you cry for him. He was a major part of the Furious family and having him go, hearing about his death, listening to the other actors/actresses talk about him, it's just sad. Did you know Vin Diesel (the middle guy in the picture above) named his baby girl after Paul (Pauline)? That's just so amazing to me.
So yeah... I think I just got side-tracked there. Anyway, the movie was magnificent. I think they all did their own stunts without a green-screen. That's pretty cool. Their stunts and all the action in the movie was top-notch if I do say so, myself. There was a lot of humor in to movie. God, those parts were hil-ari-ous! I don't want to spoil anything, but OMG everyone was so funny!
And now, we get to the ending. I know the ending wasn't what they originally planned and they had to redo some scenes to make it flow and fit. Paul Walker's brother helped out in the movie as a fill-in for Paul. A lot of people out there noticed the difference, but I didn't. Or at least, when I was trying to see, I always saw Paul and missed his brother.
So the ending. There were so many hidden meanings behind each scene, each word, each look. Everything just killed me. I cried. And not the girly kind. Like snot coming out. Gross, I know. But yeah. OMG AND THEN THE 'FOR PAUL' AT THE END????? AHHHHHHHHHH! I'm so happy the lights were out, my eyes felt all puffy and I can tell my nose was red. They just... they... they played out everything perfectly. EVERYTHING. I loved it.
I do know that if you don't follow up on the movies, you won't get it and you won't feel the meaning behind everything. So have a Furious marathon (lol I am definitely doing that) and watch the movies! If you do, tell me how you like it :)
Sorry this wasn't really a review so much as a blog post. But, I told you guys I would share my experience and I just can't talk about the series without talking about Paul <3
RIP Paul Walker <3 Forever In Our Hearts.

Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver

Happy April Fools Day! I suck at making pranks by myself so I don't have anything for you guys today xD One time, April Fools landed on a school day and my mom woke me up saying that it was snowing outside so we didn't have school. Since I was still in my sleepy state-and apparently forgot it was spring-I totally believed her and fell back asleep. She woke me up saying 'April Fools, Caitlin'! It was annoying but hilarious xD Although, last year it snowed during our spring break so I guess I'm not that stupid xD What did you guys do on April Fools'?
Onto the review. Can I just say Whoa. For those of you who are friends with me on Goodreads, you know how I felt about this book while I was reading it ;)
When first reading this book, I didn't really like it. I thought both girls were being ridiculous, the person closest to both was evil, and the story was getting no where. But something kept me from putting the book down. I don't know what it was but I'm gonna call it magic (or instinct) ;) Reading, Dara and Nick became less annoying, Parker was just confused, and everyone else was trying to do their best to find Maddie.
Dara and Nick. Man, when I first started to read this book, it made me not want to have a twin sister. Stealing my clothes, liking the same guy as me, et cetera et cetera. Gosh. But before everything got complicated, they were best friends. Together through the good times and bad. And I thought, 'Would it would be so bad to have someone who knows me better than anyone else?' No matter what they go through, they are together forever. I think that's what this book really showed. Family. Having someone who's there for you whether they want to at the time or not. Because they love you. And they'd do anything for you.
At the end of Vanishing Girls, I... I don't know what exactly happened. Until I did. And I cried. Okay, by now, you all are probably thinking that I'm a cry baby. BUT THE FEELS! You just have to read this book to understand! I totally didn't expect what happened at the end, and I loved that. Not that what happened was happy per say, but it gave me whip lash in my mind... like mind lash... haha. But seriously. Truly amazing.
I really appreciate Lauren's work. I liked some of her previous books (Panic and Delirium) and I really liked this one. Her stories have meaning in them. Each one loud and clear. Face your fears. Be different. Love is the glue that holds you together. Or at least that's what I got out of them (aside from an amazing story) ;) I highly recommend this book. I would give it a 4/5 stars only because of the beginning. Everything else was magnificent.
I can't wait to see more of Lauren's books! Go pick up Vanishing Girls! And tell me what you think :)  The end of the day is coming to a wrap. Happy April Fools!
